KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lindsey Elliott, Director of Marketing and Client Services at Dobies Health Marketing, has joined the KC Health Communicators (KCHC) Board. In this industry leadership role, she aims to help further the KCHC mission of sharing best practices and supporting professional development for communicators in healthcare.
As a long-time KCHC member – and now, a member of the board – Lindsey brings a wealth of insight that comes from extensive experience in healthcare marketing and communications. At Dobies, she manages marketing, branding, advertising and public relations initiatives for a variety of healthcare organizations, including hospitals, cancer centers and academic medical centers across the U.S. Her appointment to the KCHC board reflects her commitment to advancing the impact of healthcare communications and providing valuable resources to professionals navigating the changing healthcare landscape.
For its members, KCHC provides a wide assortment of educational and networking programs, periodic meetings and an annual conference, all of which are supported by the board to ensure a wide range of timely topics and a diverse group of inspiring speakers. KCHC also facilitates social activities for peer-to-peer networking in the Greater Kansas City area. By promoting knowledge-sharing and collaboration among members, the organization aims to enhance members’ understanding of the industry and how to maximize the reach and effectiveness of their communications.
“Healthcare is a unique and complex field, so having a platform for colleagues and peers to support each other’s success is incredibly valuable,” said Lindsey. “KCHC helps healthcare communicators stay on top of the latest trends and opportunities, and I really enjoy being part of that. I’m very excited to see what the next year has in store for the industry in Kansas City.”
With her time on the board, Lindsey hopes to broaden KCHC’s member network to include partners from state and national boards, mental health providers, and others who play key roles in healthcare in Kansas City.
“It’s an honor to join the KCHC board, a group of smart, savvy and welcoming professionals who are very passionate about what they do,” said Lindsey. “I know I will learn a lot, and I’m thrilled to be working with them and putting our minds together to support communications that ultimately connect people and companies to better health.”
